About RecCar
RecCar is a dashcam application designed to record video while driving or when your vehicle is parked.
The app provides Driving Mode, Parking Mode, and Emergency Recording to help you record important situations on the road or around your vehicle.
RecCar does not require a separate user account or registration. Recorded videos and related data can be backed up to your iCloud account using Apple's cloud services.
Main Features
🅿️ 1. Parking Mode ("P")
In Parking Mode, recording starts automatically when motion or impact is detected while the vehicle is stationary. This feature is designed to help preserve footage of incidents or damage that may occur while the vehicle is parked.
🚗 2. Driving Mode ("D")
In Driving Mode, recording is saved when an impact is detected. This feature is designed to help preserve important footage during unexpected situations while driving.
🚨 3. Emergency Recording
You can start emergency recording by double-tapping the screen. This allows you to quickly start recording when you need to document an important situation.
🎯 4. Fixed Focus
The focus is fixed in the center of the screen during both day and night settings. This provides stable recording without requiring manual focus adjustment.
☀️ 5. Brightness Adjustment
You can adjust the brightness according to daytime or nighttime conditions. Adjusting the brightness to match the environment can help produce clearer video recordings.
Video Folder
The Video Folder allows you to manage recorded video files and access videos stored through cloud synchronization.
1. Swipe Function
Swipe Right: Lock or export a video.
Swipe Left: Delete a video.
This feature allows you to easily manage video files.
2. Cell Selection
By selecting a video cell, you can retrieve or play videos stored in the cloud. This makes it easier to find and play the video you need.
3. Fetch New Data
Scroll down on the table screen to fetch new data from the cloud. This allows you to check the latest available videos.
4. Load More Data
Scroll up from the bottom of the screen to load additional data. This allows you to view more videos when needed.
Camera Settings
1. Resolution
You can select the video recording resolution according to your needs.
- 720p (1280 × 720): A 30-second video is approximately 25 MB.
- 1080p (1920 × 1080): A 30-second video is approximately 55 MB.
- 4K (3840 × 2160): A 30-second video is approximately 230 MB.
Higher-resolution videos provide more detail, but they also require more storage space.
2. HDR (High Dynamic Range)
HDR can capture footage with a wider range of brightness, color, and contrast. You can turn HDR on or off as needed.
3. FPS (Frames Per Second)
FPS determines how smoothly video is displayed. Generally, 30 fps provides natural-looking motion. Video quality and file size may vary depending on the FPS setting.
Data Processing and Security Management
1. Data Storage and Security
Recorded data is stored on the device and can be backed up to iCloud. This allows users to access their data when needed through supported Apple services and devices.
Data transmitted to and stored through Apple's cloud services is protected according to Apple's security mechanisms. RecCar does not require users to create a separate RecCar account.
2. iCloud Storage Limit
The amount of data that can be stored in iCloud depends on the available iCloud storage capacity.
3. Billing Prevention and Synchronization Settings
If you use multiple Apple devices, iCloud synchronization may result in additional network data usage depending on your device settings.
If you do not want RecCar data to synchronize through cellular or other network connections, check the iCloud and cellular data settings on your device.
4. Data Uploading Only on Wi-Fi
When Wi-Fi is available, recorded data can be uploaded to the cloud through the Wi-Fi connection. Using Wi-Fi can help reduce cellular data usage.
5. Data Upload on Cellular
Warning: Uploading high-quality recorded videos over a cellular connection may use a significant amount of mobile data and could result in additional charges depending on your mobile plan.
When possible, use Wi-Fi for uploading large video files or check your mobile data usage before uploading.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create a RecCar account?
No. RecCar does not require a separate account or registration.
Does RecCar use iCloud?
Yes. Recorded videos and related data can be backed up and synchronized through iCloud, depending on your device and iCloud settings.
Where are my recorded videos stored?
Recorded videos may be stored on the device and backed up to iCloud. The availability of cloud data depends on your iCloud storage capacity and device settings.
Why can't my videos be uploaded to iCloud?
Check whether you have enough available iCloud storage. If your iCloud storage is full or insufficient, new data may not be uploaded or synchronized.
Can I use RecCar without cellular data?
Yes. Recording itself does not require a cellular connection. However, cloud synchronization and uploading may require an internet connection depending on your settings.
Using Wi-Fi is recommended when uploading large video files.
Why are 4K video files so large?
Higher-resolution video contains more image data. For this reason, 4K recordings require considerably more storage space than 720p or 1080p recordings.
As a reference, a 30-second recording is approximately 25 MB at 720p, 55 MB at 1080p, and 230 MB at 4K. Actual file sizes may vary.
How do I start Emergency Recording?
Double-tap the screen to start Emergency Recording. This allows you to quickly preserve footage when necessary.
How do I lock or delete a video?
In the Video Folder, swipe right on a video to lock or export it. Swipe left to delete the video.
What is the difference between Driving Mode and Parking Mode?
Driving Mode ("D") is designed for recording while the vehicle is being driven and saving footage when an impact is detected.
Parking Mode ("P") is designed for a stationary vehicle and can start recording when motion or impact is detected.
Can RecCar guarantee that an incident will be recorded?
No. Recording may be affected by the device, available storage, battery level, lighting, camera conditions, environmental factors, network conditions, and other circumstances.
For important situations, users should verify that recording is operating correctly and that sufficient storage is available.
Can RecCar recordings be used as legal evidence?
The use and admissibility of recorded video as evidence depends on the laws and circumstances applicable to each situation. RecCar does not guarantee the legal admissibility of any recording.
For legal or official purposes, consult an appropriate legal or professional authority.
