RecCar

Effective Date: September 8, 2026

BO YOUNG PARK ("we", "us", or "our") operates the RecCar application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to explaining clearly how information is processed when you use the App.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Process

RecCar does not operate its own server or database for collecting and storing users' personal information. The App primarily processes and stores information locally on your device and, where applicable, in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service.

The information processed by the App may include the following:

  • Video and audio recordings
  • Photos created using the App
  • Date and time information associated with recordings
  • GPS coordinates and location information
  • Travel routes and route history
  • Speed information
  • Address or location information derived from GPS data
  • Other information necessary to provide the App's recording, playback, route, and related features

The information processed depends on the features you use and the permissions you grant to the App.

Video and Audio Recordings

When you use the dashcam recording features, the App may access your device's camera and microphone to record video and ambient audio.

Video and audio recordings created using the App are stored locally on your device. Depending on your iCloud settings and the App's synchronization features, recordings and related data may also be stored in your personal iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service.

We do not upload or store your recordings on servers operated by us.

Location and GPS Data

The App may process GPS and location information to provide features such as displaying location information on recordings, displaying speed, identifying addresses, and recording or reviewing travel routes.

Location information may be associated with your recordings and related data. You may be able to choose whether certain location-related information, such as GPS coordinates, speed, address, or route information, is displayed or included in recordings, depending on the features and settings available in the App.

Location and route data may be stored locally on your device and may also be stored in your personal iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service.

2. Camera Permission

RecCar requires access to your device's camera to provide video recording and related features.

Camera access is controlled by Apple's permission system. You can allow or deny camera access through your device settings.

If camera access is denied, features that require camera access may not function.

3. Microphone Permission

RecCar requires access to your device's microphone when audio recording is enabled or when audio is recorded together with video.

Microphone access is controlled by Apple's permission system. You can allow or deny microphone access through your device settings.

If microphone access is denied, features that require microphone access may not function or recorded videos may not contain audio.

4. Location Permission

RecCar may request access to your device's location information to provide GPS-related features, including recording GPS coordinates, displaying location or speed information on recordings, and recording or reviewing travel routes.

Location access is controlled by Apple's permission system. You can allow or deny location access through your device settings.

The availability of location-related features may depend on the location permission you grant to the App.

If you do not grant location permission, features that require location information may not function.

5. iCloud and Apple CloudKit

RecCar uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to store and synchronize certain App data.

Data stored through CloudKit is stored in the user's private iCloud database. This may include video recordings and related data such as GPS information and travel route data.

The private iCloud database is associated with your Apple account and is intended to be accessible only to you and authorized services operating on your behalf.

BO YOUNG PARK does not have access to the data stored in your private CloudKit database. We do not operate or maintain a server through which we can view, access, or independently retrieve your private iCloud data.

The use and storage of iCloud data are also subject to Apple's terms, policies, and privacy practices.

You can manage iCloud and related settings through your Apple device and Apple account settings.

If you disable iCloud or otherwise restrict iCloud access, certain synchronization or backup features of the App may not be available.

6. Data Storage and Retention

RecCar stores App data locally on your device and may also store certain data in your personal iCloud account through CloudKit.

We do not maintain our own cloud server or database for storing your recordings, location data, or route information.

Because locally stored data is maintained on your device, its retention depends on your device and your actions. You can delete recordings and other locally stored data using the features provided by the App, where available, or by deleting the App from your device.

Data stored in your private iCloud account is subject to your iCloud settings and Apple's applicable data retention and storage policies.

We do not independently control or determine how long data stored in Apple's iCloud service remains available.

7. Data Deletion

RecCar does not maintain a user account or a server-side database containing your recordings, GPS data, or route information.

For data stored locally on your device, you may delete the data using the features provided by the App, where available, or by deleting the App from your device.

Data stored in your private iCloud account may be managed or deleted through the App, your device, or your Apple iCloud settings, depending on how the relevant data is stored and the features provided by Apple.

Because private CloudKit data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us, we cannot independently access or delete such data on your behalf.

8. Advertising and Third-Party Services

RecCar uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display advertisements.

The App may display banner and native advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process certain information, which can include IP address, device or advertising identifiers, advertising data, diagnostic information, performance information, and information about interactions with the App.

The information processed by Google may be used for purposes such as delivering advertisements, measuring advertising performance, preventing fraud, and improving advertising services.

The exact information processed may depend on the version of the Google Mobile Ads SDK, your device settings, your privacy choices, the type of advertisement served, and applicable laws.

For more information about how Google processes information through its advertising services, please review Google's privacy information:

Google Privacy Policy

9. Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices

Depending on your location and applicable privacy laws, the App or its advertising services may present privacy or advertising consent messages when required.

You may be asked to make choices regarding the processing of information for advertising purposes, including personalized advertising.

Depending on your location, applicable laws, and the services used by the App, you may also be provided with options to change your advertising privacy choices after your initial selection.

Where consent is legally required, advertising is served in accordance with applicable consent requirements and your choices.

10. App Tracking Transparency

Depending on the configuration of the App and applicable requirements, RecCar may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.

If ATT permission is requested and you grant permission, certain information may be used for tracking purposes, including the use of an advertising identifier, in accordance with Apple's requirements and your choices.

If you deny ATT permission, the App will not access the advertising identifier for tracking purposes through the ATT framework.

You can review or change your tracking permission at any time through your device's privacy settings.

11. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

RecCar is available as a paid application and also offers optional in-app subscriptions for certain features, including options to remove advertisements.

The App offers monthly and annual subscription options. No free trial period is currently offered.

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not operate our own payment processing system and do not directly collect or store your payment card or financial information.

Apple may process payment and transaction information in accordance with Apple's terms and privacy policies.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store account settings.

For more information about Apple's privacy practices, please review:

Apple Privacy Policy

12. Email Feedback

RecCar may provide an option to send feedback by email.

When you choose to send feedback, your device's email application may be opened so that you can send an email directly to the developer.

The App does not operate an email server and does not independently collect or store the contents of your feedback on our servers.

If you send an email to us, we may receive the information contained in that email, including your email address and any information that you voluntarily provide.

We use information received through email only to respond to your inquiry, feedback, or support request.

13. Information Sharing

We do not sell users' personal information.

We do not operate our own server or database for collecting or storing users' recordings, GPS data, route information, or other personal information.

However, the App uses third-party services such as Apple's iCloud/CloudKit and Google's AdMob. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services, subject to their own privacy policies, terms, and applicable laws.

Data stored in your private CloudKit database is not accessible to us.

We do not independently control how third-party service providers process information within their services.

14. Children's Privacy

RecCar is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers or databases.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us using the contact information below.

15. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights regarding personal information processed by third-party services.

You can control certain privacy choices through:

  • Your iOS device's privacy and tracking settings
  • Your camera permission settings
  • Your microphone permission settings
  • Your location permission settings
  • Your iCloud and Apple account settings
  • The privacy and advertising options provided by the App or its advertising services
  • Your App Store subscription settings

You may also contact us if you have questions about information directly provided to us, such as information contained in an email you send to us.

16. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information under our control.

RecCar does not operate its own server or database for storing users' recordings, GPS data, or route information. Such data is stored locally on the user's device and, where applicable, in the user's private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit service.

Because we cannot access data stored in your private CloudKit database, the security of that data is also subject to Apple's iCloud security measures and your Apple account security.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security of your device and Apple account, including using a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, two-factor authentication, or other security features provided by Apple.

17. Third-Party Privacy Policies

RecCar uses third-party services, including Apple's iCloud/CloudKit and Google's AdMob.

These services may process information independently according to their own privacy policies and terms.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the relevant service providers:

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, applicable laws, or our privacy practices.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
