Snapcut - Privacy Policy

Snapcut Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 20, 2026

Snapcut ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Snapcut, including its camera, photo editing, photo storage, advertising, and subscription features.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Snapcut mobile application and describes how information is handled when you use features such as taking photos, importing photos from your photo library, editing photos, saving photos, viewing advertisements, and using the optional subscription service.

Snapcut is designed to process and store your photos primarily on your device. Snapcut does not operate its own server for storing or processing your photos.

2. Information We Collect and Process

2.1 Photos and Photo Library

Snapcut may access photos on your device in order to provide the following features:

  • Taking photos using the device camera
  • Importing photos from your device's photo library
  • Editing photos and applying effects
  • Saving edited photos within the App
  • Saving photos to your device's photo library at your request

Photos taken or edited using Snapcut are processed and stored on your device. Snapcut does not upload your photos to its own servers or store your photos on a server operated by us.

Snapcut does not send your photos to external servers or third-party AI services for photo analysis or artificial intelligence processing.

2.2 Location Information

Snapcut does not collect or use your location information. The App does not separately collect your current location when you take or edit photos.

2.3 Account and Login Information

Snapcut does not require users to create an account or log in. Accordingly, Snapcut does not collect names, passwords, or account information for the purpose of providing its core services.

2.4 Analytics and Usage Statistics

Snapcut does not use third-party analytics services or analytics SDKs to collect usage statistics for the App.

3. Storage and Deletion of Photos

Snapcut stores photos and related editing data on the user's device. The App uses Core Data and FileManager to manage application data and files.

Users can delete photos stored within Snapcut using the App's deletion features. When Snapcut is deleted from the device, data stored within the App's sandbox, including photos stored there, may also be deleted by iOS.

Because Snapcut does not store your photos on its own servers, we do not maintain a separate server-side copy of your photos.

If you save a photo to the iOS Photos library using Snapcut, that photo is stored in your device's Photos library and is separate from data stored within the Snapcut App. Photos saved to the Photos library can be managed and deleted directly through iOS.

4. Camera and Photo Library Permissions

Snapcut may request access to your device's camera in order to provide photo-taking features.

Snapcut may also request access to your Photos library in order to allow you to select and import existing photos and save edited photos to your Photos library.

You can change or revoke camera and Photos permissions at any time through the privacy settings on your iOS device. If you deny or restrict these permissions, some Snapcut features may not be available.

5. Advertising and Google AdMob

Snapcut is a paid application available through the Apple App Store. The App is currently offered for USD $1.99.

Snapcut may display advertisements through Google AdMob. Advertisements may be displayed to users who have not subscribed to the advertisement removal service.

Google AdMob may process certain information for purposes such as delivering advertisements, measuring advertising performance, preventing fraud, and improving advertising services. Depending on the device, operating system, region, and applicable settings, this information may include IP address, device identifiers, advertising-related information, app interaction information, and performance or diagnostic information.

The specific information processed by Google may vary depending on Google's services, your device settings, your region, and your privacy choices.

For more information about how Google handles information, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy .

6. Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices

Snapcut uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to provide users with privacy and advertising consent choices where required by applicable laws and regulations.

Depending on your location and applicable privacy laws, you may be asked to provide consent regarding personalized advertising or the processing of information for advertising purposes.

Where applicable, Snapcut provides users with privacy choices through the consent and privacy dialogs provided by Google UMP. Users may be able to withdraw or change their consent choices where required by applicable law.

Where Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework applies, Snapcut may also request permission through Apple's system dialog regarding tracking. You can manage your tracking permission through your iOS device settings.

7. Subscription and Advertisement Removal

Snapcut offers an optional subscription service that removes advertisements from the App. The subscription is separate from the initial purchase of the Snapcut application.

The current subscription options are:

  • Monthly subscription: USD $0.99
  • 6-month subscription: USD $3.99
  • Annual subscription: USD $6.99

The subscription is processed through Apple's App Store In-App Purchase system. Snapcut does not directly collect or store your credit card number, bank account information, or other payment credentials.

Subscription billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management are handled through Apple's App Store system and are subject to Apple's applicable terms and policies.

8. Third-Party Services

Snapcut uses certain third-party services to provide specific features and services. These services may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

  • Google AdMob: Provides advertisements within the App and may process information related to advertising and advertising performance.
  • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Provides privacy and advertising consent management where applicable.
  • Apple App Store: Processes the purchase of the Snapcut application and in-app subscription transactions.

9. Retention and Deletion of Information

Snapcut does not operate its own server for storing users' photos. Photos processed by Snapcut are stored locally on the user's device unless the user chooses to save a photo to the iOS Photos library.

Photos and related data stored within Snapcut can be deleted by the user through the App's available deletion features.

When the Snapcut App is deleted, data stored within the App's sandbox may also be deleted by iOS.

Photos saved to the iOS Photos library are separate from Snapcut's internal storage. Such photos remain in the Photos library until the user deletes them.

10. Sharing of Information with Third Parties

Snapcut does not operate its own server and does not collect or store users' photos on its servers.

However, third-party services such as Google AdMob may process certain information for advertising-related purposes. The processing of such information is subject to the applicable third party's privacy policy, applicable laws, and, where required, the user's consent or privacy choices.

Payment and subscription transactions are processed through Apple's App Store payment system.

11. Data Protection

Snapcut is designed to minimize the information required to provide its core photo-taking and editing features.

The App uses camera and Photos permissions only to provide features that require access to those resources.

Snapcut does not upload users' photos to its own servers or store users' photos in a separate online storage service.

12. Children's Privacy

Snapcut does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require account registration or login and does not operate its own server for collecting and storing users' personal information.

Third-party advertising services may have their own policies and practices regarding children and advertising.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if the App's features, data processing practices, or applicable laws change.

When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page. The updated Privacy Policy will become effective on the effective date or last updated date displayed on this page.
